2022 Wildlife Disease Association Australiasian section Conference

2022 WDAA conference will be held in Kinglake Victoria on the 27 Nov – 2 Dec 2022

Keynote speakers, a preliminary agenda and information about submitting abstracts will be released closer to the date.

Kinglake Forest Adventure Camp is located less than an hour’s drive (60km) north-east of Melbourne airport. The venue is surrounded by native bushland, is family friendly and has a variety of activities for everyone including bushwalking, mountain biking, adventure courses and lots of wildlife and bird spotting. The event will be fully catered, but there is also a cafe on-site for those needing barista coffee to start the day! It’s close to Healesville Sanctuary, the fantastic Yarra Valley cheese and wine regions and the stunning Dandenong Ranges.

A highlight of the Australasian section is its Annual Conference. These are typically held away from capital cities, at wilderness locations of major interest to members. Biologists and conservationists working in the local area are invited to share in the meeting.

Everyone is encouraged to present a talk on anything related to wildlife health – e.g. wildlife disease, biology, ecology, management, whether cutting edge science, case studies or interesting stories.

In addition to the scientific programme there are field trips, bush walks, and a friendly atmosphere that encourages the sharing of knowledge and ideas. Camping and informal accommodation is usual, and families and friends are welcome.
