Rounds

It is our great pleasure to introduce to you a program of National Wildlife Health Rounds.

On behalf of the Australian Registry of Wildlife Health, Dr. Cathy Shilton has organised  a series of web-based rounds to unite wildlife health professionals and diagnosticians online, the first Tuesday or Wednesday of each month.

The aim of these rounds sessions is to facilitate scientific interaction, collaboration, education and the investigation of wildlife disease, with a focus on diseases where there is a potential impact on biodiversity conservation, agriculture or human health.

Each month we will spend an hour discussing two cases: one representing a classical wildlife disease, and another representing an emerging wildlife health issue (where an aetiological diagnosis may or may not have been established).  The sessions will be multi-disciplinary, so please join us as we discuss the clinical, pathological, laboratory and ecological aspects of wildlife health investigation.

Rounds sessions are open to members of the Australian Society for Veterinary Pathology http://www.asvp.asn.au/ and the Wildlife Disease Association http://www.wda-aust.org/ (Australian and New Zealand residents only).  Registration advice for each session will be circulated a week in advance via membership list-serves.
