Dr David Phalen - Veterinarian
David Phalen is the Director of the Wildlife Health and Conservation Centre at the University of Sydney. He teaches Conservation Biology to Veterinary and Bioscience students and clinical wildlife and exotic animal medicine to 5th year Veterinary students. He teaches and is the co-coordinator for the Applied Masters of Wildlife Health and Population Management. David oversees the research of a number of PhD and Masters students studying the ecology of the koala and naturally occurring and emerging infectious diseases in a range of species from birds to amphibians. Many of his research projects are joint collaborations with the Australian Registry of Wildlife Health.
